Are these real VCAA exams?
No. They are original practice exams written to the VCAA study designs and examination specifications, so they follow the same structure, mark allocations and question styles. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the VCAA.
How does online marking work?
When you submit an exam, our AI marker checks each answer against the exam’s marking guide. You get a mark for every question, feedback on what earned marks and what was missing, and the sample high-scoring response. Treat the marks as a guide and check any you disagree with against the marking guide – or ask a tutor to mark it.
Can I handwrite my answers?
Yes. In the online exam room you can type or choose ‘Write’ for any question and answer with a stylus, pen tablet or your finger. Handwritten answers – including your mathematical working – are marked from an image of your writing.
Can I sit an exam more than once?
Yes. Subscribers can sit each exam online as many times as they like, and every attempt is saved with its results.
Do I have to use the timer?
No. Exam conditions give you the same reading and writing time as the real exam – for example, 15 minutes of reading time and 2 hours 30 minutes of writing time for Chemistry. You can also choose untimed practice.
What’s free?
Every account can choose Exam 1 from one subject and sit it as many times as you like, with marking. Subscribe to unlock every exam, topic practice and statistics for a subject.
Can I have an exam I did on paper marked?
Yes. Open the exam and choose ‘Mark from photos’. Enter your multiple-choice answers and add a photo of each written question – every part is read from your photo and marked with feedback, just like the online exam room.
What’s topic practice?
Choose an area of study and practise questions drawn from every exam in your library. Multiple-choice questions are marked instantly and written answers are marked one at a time, so you get feedback as you go.
How are my study score and ATAR estimated?
Each marked exam is converted to an estimated grade and study score using the VCAA’s most recent grade distributions for that exam, and your estimate updates as you sit more exams. The ATAR predictor uses VTAC’s latest scaling and ATAR tables. They’re a guide only – your real results also depend on your SACs and your cohort.
Can I subscribe to just one subject?
Yes. Subscribe to as many single subjects as you need, or choose all access for every subject.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel any subscription from your account and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
